The following link is from a former IMF economist (Dr. Schiller) who lived in Madagascar for three years in the early 90's eating and drinking wine at the various restaurants in Tana. He visited again at the end of 2011 and wrote up this fairly ambitious and expansive list (A-Z 73 restaurants!) that is worth reading. All the information is not likely to be current but it will surely give those of us who live here some new ideas. His post also has some nice color and background on Madagascar.

Schiller also does a nice job delving into the Malagasy wine scene--the only person to have done it that I know of. At the very least he offers some nice points of departure for the vazaha like myself.

He also gives a nice endorsement and background/history on the Clos Nomena label wine (unfortunately their vineyard is about 56 km from Fianrantsoa so we likely won't ever have the chance to visit):
